What is Pokhran?
Phokran is the village and municipality of jaisalmer district near Thar desert suitated at rajasthan in India.
Why we taken pokhran?
During Iron Lady Indira Gandhi period were first nuclear test was held at pokhran on may 18 1974 that day is a buddha's purnima (buddha's birthday)..
History of Pokhran:
Before independence all Indians were decided to make the nuclear bomb without help of other countries.After Independence during jawarhlal nehru period he undertake all remedies for make a nuclear bomb at that time they don't know any formulae and equation but they know Uranium and plutonium were main source to designed a nuclear bomb for that Sir Homi baba were chief executer for that designing a bomb,he said that we dont have any nuclear station in India first necesary to built a station for that britain,canada,america were give a hand to India to designed a nuclear station and it is named as Apsara nuclear power station
In that station more than 150 Indians
some other countries scientist also were worked to designed a nuclear bomb after that indian scientist were obsorved all works and how to designed after that work is going on..our indian prime minister Mr.jawarhlal nehru was died, after one week physics proffesor Homi baba also died.
After that Iron lady Indira Gandhi was a prime minister.she was very interested to designed and execute a nuclear bomb after that Homi baba Vikram sara bhai were chosen as a chief executer of this nuclear station .In that time they know about how to make a nuclear bomb so they start working with the help of Indira Gandhi but this work is going very secretive even defence department also dont know about this one..
On may 16 1974 all things were taken to pokhran it take two days at may 18 8.05 am were first nuclear bomb tested as successfully completed in pokhran but most developed countries seen this and got more tension and also america stopped more things export to india.
But in that successfull Indira Gandhi got more good name from people and some politician ...#Iron lady..
After that more prime minister were come and change they wont take pokhran file after that Mr.Atal Bihari vajpayee give soul to this pokhran file and take all remedies beacause earlier designed a bomb was large in size and it is not easily taken by military for that second time they start designed to small size during 1998 may 11 take over all parts to the pokhran at may 13 he executed second bomb test at pokhran after this more countries was give respect and noted activities of India..
From there till now India dont use any nuclear bomba because India follows a path of non violence
